Annual Goals

This report lists the annual improvement goals reported to ESE in the educator preparation program provider’s state annual report. Providers may report up to three goals for the upcoming year and are asked to report on progress made toward the prior year’s goals. Annual goals are reported in May of the academic year listed.

Annual Goals - 2020
Goal #1 Complete full training on SPs, PSs, Faculty and staff on CAP implementation, and on thoroughness of evaluation and feedback.
Goal #2 Implement Gateway assessment system, and continue implementation of at-risk system during pre-practicum field experiences.
Goal #3 Increase coherence across programs, including common assessments and lesson planning resources.

Annual Goals - 2019
Goal #1 To better support student achievement, the program will develop processes for more consistent advising, particularly for at-risk candidates..
Goal #2 To fully implement training for faculty, SPs, and PSs on CAP and use of evidence and feedback for teacher candidates.
Goal #3 To develop and implement new programs in adjustment counseling and digital literacy/computer science.

Annual Goals - 2018
Goal #1 To better support student achievement and careers, the Department will review current MTEL policies and current practices to help students pass these exams in a timely manner.
Goal #2 To fully develop and implement new program areas, such as the Adjustment Counseling and Digital Literacy and Computer Science programs.
Goal #3 To develop, implement, and assess new pre-practica for each educator preparation program, including use of data to help inform program coursework.
