Annual Goals

This report lists the annual improvement goals reported to ESE in the educator preparation program provider’s state annual report. Providers may report up to three goals for the upcoming year and are asked to report on progress made toward the prior year’s goals. Annual goals are reported in May of the academic year listed.

Annual Goals - 2017
Goal #1 The consistent and ongoing use of internal and external evidence, including ESE data, informs strategic decisions that impact the SO, the education programs, candidates and employing organizations.
Goal #2 Strategic plan includes activities, timelines and supports for meeting educator preparation programs' annual goals
Goal #3 Supervising Practitioners and Program Supervisors receive training, support and development from the SO that impacts candidate effectiveness

Annual Goals - 2016
Goal #1 Broaden and strength our relationships with our P-12 partners to enhance our candidates educator preparation experiences and to provide targeted and meaningful assistance and resources to the districts.
Goal #2 Working with our partners, solicit and incorporate feedback from supervising practitioners and school administrators.
Goal #3 Create and sustain meaningful field-based experiences for our candidates, using the CAP as a guide.

Progress Toward Goals - 2016

Goal #1 Increase the number of candidates in STEM.
Goal #2 Utilize EDWIN data to inform plans for continuous improvement.
Goal #3 Create stronger partnerships and collaborate meaningfully for continuous improvement.

Progress Toward Goals - 2015
Goal #1 Instruction: Increase STEM enrollment: Implementation of UTeach grant as well as TEACH grant support for candidates. Collaboration with leadership and faculty in the College of Science and Math provides our candidates the opportunity to further broaden their content knowledge.
Goal #2 Utilizing EDWIN to inform us in our efforts for continuous improvement. We used this date to conceptualize our long and short term goals in preparation for our program review and accreditation (2015).
Goal #3 Partnerships: We are continuously working to build, nurture, and strengthen our relationships with public urban school systems in the area. By working collaboratively with these school systems, we are able to create mutually beneficial partnerships.
